The sailing season in the Mediterranean is officially open. Sea adventures for some of our clients have already begun, while for others, they are just ahead. To assist those of you who intend to dock in the region of Greece, the Greek Ministry of Tourism is launching a new mobile application, mAiGreece.
What is the mAiGreece mobile application?
According to the announcement from the Bulgarian Consulate in Thessaloniki, the application is a digital assistant for foreigners traveling in the country. It is built on an artificial intelligence system, and interaction with it will take the form of a chat.
Users will be able to search for information regarding nearby medical and hospital facilities, police stations, museums and archaeological sites, beaches, contact details for diplomatic and consular missions, emergency procedures, weather information, and operational updates regarding fire safety and civil protection.
The mAiGreece mobile application will allow users to send an emergency SMS to 112 (ambulance, police, fire brigade, civil protection) with the touch of a button, automatically attaching the user's geographical coordinates to the alert.
When will the mobile application be launched?
The official launch of mAiGreece will take place on June 10th. The application will be compatible with Android and iOS mobile devices and will be available in Bulgarian, English, and numerous other languages. According to information from the Bulgarian Consulate in Thessaloniki, starting from June 10th, a link to the application will be included in the SMS messages received upon entering Greece.
